THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL YACHTS ..............

It is rare to find a chic boutique Hotel in a City and also on a beach. Hotel Neptuno opened its doors in 2004 and has fast become a great success. They say that location is everything and you do not get much better than this in Valencia. Facing the pavilions of the America’s Cup Regatta, directly on the beach, magnificent sea views and yet, just a ten minute drive to the historic city centre.

A converted neo-classical building, attractive on its own merits, on entering from the America’s Cup side of the port you are immediately struck by the contemporary design and light airy spaces. The reception houses the bar – a lovely place for a cocktail before venturing out in the evening. This leads through to the restaurant, which in turn leads through to the outside terrace/bar and the beach. Colours are calm, muted creams and whites, supplemented by the odd bright splash of colour from a piece of contemporary art. The glass-sided lifts are in an inner courtyard with a Zen feel created by the waterfall, bamboo and large rounded stones. For guests of the Hotel, the lifts can take you to the top floor roof terrace with a Jacuzzi and sun-loungers. The views of the bay are magnificent.

The Hotel has excellent facilities. In the basement are a well-equipped gymnasium, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, massage treatment rooms and even a small squash court. If you feel the need to spend more energy, you can of course jog or walk along the lengthy promenade. Off reception there is also a small TV room and a computer with internet access for clients use. There is public parking in front of the Hotel.

The 48 bedrooms, include three fabulous suites with their own roof terraces, sun-loungers and jacuzzis. The rest are divided between Junior Suites, Doubles and Single Rooms. Three rooms are adapted for wheelchair access and for those with mobility problems. All the rooms have dark wooden floors, which contrast strikingly with the clean lines of the minimalist décor and abundant use of creams and beiges. They are beautifully equipped with plasma screen satellite TV , free cable internet access, heating, air-con, mini-bar and safe. The bathrooms have hydro-massage baths and bathrobes and slippers are provided. The suites are ideally suited for honeymooners. Many have sea or marina views.

Buffet Breakfasts are served in the main restaurant “Tridente”. Lunch and dinner are also served here (and on the outdoor terrace in warmer months). Under the direction of the talented chef, Jose Miguel Bielsa, it has an excellent reputation, serving local fish and seafood and of course, those famous local rice dishes, paella included. Presentation is “eye-catching” and modern. It is open to the public.


An ideal Hotel for those who want the attractions of a wonderful city and beach at the same time. An ideal city break Hotel with the excellent low cost/no frills airlines now flying into Valencia airport.
